Former National League MVP Joey Votto was added to Canada's roster for the World Baseball Classic before Wednesday's deadline. But it's unclear how much the Cincinnati Reds first baseman will play in the tournament, if at all. Canada starts round-robin play March 8 against Italy in Phoenix. "As far as playing, I'm going to have to wait until the day before to decide," Votto told the Cincinnati Enquirer. Because Votto spent time on the diaabled list last summer -- he had a torn meniscus in his left knee and missed all of August -- he must be cleared to play, according to tournament rules.
